Mi 10T and 10T Pro devices has received android 11 update few months ago while these devices are launched with Android 10 based MIUI 12. Despite being a device with flagship chip and high-end specifications, this device is treated as Mid-ranger and Xiaomi has rarely provided any updates frequently.
How to get MIUI 12.5.1 for Mi 10/ Mi 10T Pro?
If you are in India, you may already have received notification or will be receiving very soon. If you have not received updates, you can choose to check for updates using below steps.
Settings > About Phone > MIUI Version Logo > Check for Updates

What to do, if MIUI 12.5.1 Update is not showing in Mi 10T/ 10T Pro?
If your device is not showing notification or update when you checked, it means it may be arriving anytime soon. Almost every Device Manufacturer roll updates on batches, this helps them to deliver the software without any sudden outage on Servers and also helps them to test wider impact on end users.

Change settings to Receive Updates Early

Once, you have enabled these options, you can go to settings and enable Receive Updates Early toggle. This is not beta tester or Pilot program subscription, but your device will be in the preferred device while delivering public updates via OTA.
Download and install Update using Updater (Choose Update Package method)

Download and Flash Update using Custom Recovery
This is a complicated process for normal users and require unlocked boot-locker, you can follow this Guide on XDA community about this approach.
Specially because this device do not have stable official TWRP, This is risky process and can damage your device permanently, do not follow if you have no prior experience or are not sure about the possible outcome of process.
What are the new Features of MIUI 12.5.1 (RJDINXM)?
Function-wise, this update has no any major changes. In performance view, it has lot of under the hood changes like better battery management, memory management and security enhancements.
As mentioned in official changelog, below are the new changes in this update.
- Increased System security – Updated Security Patch to May 2021
- Xiaomi Cloud – Location info can be now reported automatically before the device is powered off.
